Lorraine is a multifaceted visual artist who is inspired by her spiritual practice of yoga and meditation. As a creative discipline, yoga supports and enhances self-discovery through a conscious connection to breath.

Lorraine’s daily practice led her to uncover her identity as an artist, as well as a spiritual being. She seeks to communicate our divine connection to the earth and the cosmos through her landscape paintings. Her creative soul finds emotional and spiritual expression through a variety of media.

Lorraine’s passion is fine art. She focuses on Painting and Printmaking. Her work is characterized by expressive brushstrokes, movement, texture and organic shapes. Whether her creation is a painting or a monotype, each piece explores the connection of body, mind and spirit.

Lorraine’s expansive view of connection led her to create landscape paintings on unusual canvases. Photographs she took of Long Island’s seascapes became the inspiration for utilizing boots as a novel canvas for her paintings. Lorraine’s desire to keep the energy of beautiful landscapes close, motivated her to create wearable art. When wearing the Sunrise/Sunset Boots one can literally step into the landscape. Lorraine expanded her repertoire to include painting on a variety of textiles including canvas sneakers, leather shoes and handbags.

Lorraine has collaborated with colleagues to develop art installations incorporating art, music, poetry, and yoga. As a select artist for JumpstArt 2014, Lorraine developed the outdoor installation We Are All Connected in Riverhead, NY. Lorraine visually articulated poetry in the collaborative installation titled Tree of Life Exploration, at Verbal Eyes 2017, Huntington, NY.

Lorraine’s artwork and essay were published in ACES magazine. Lorraine has exhibited her work at venues throughout Long Island ; Art League of Long Island, East End Arts, Huntington Arts Council and Islip Art Museum.
